Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.

Welcome

My name is Gavin Giles, M.A. (he/him), and I am a therapist at Luminary Solutions with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University.

Therapy has been a part of my life for nearly 15 years. At the least, it cost me an hour of my time. At its best, it flipped a switch I thought was broken.

No matter where you are or what you're carrying, healing is within reach and so is a life that feels more like your own. That belief guides our work.

I bring authenticity and curiosity to the work with a willingness to grow alongside you. Healing isn't about being fixed. It's about meeting your most undesired parts with compassion, finding balance, owning your story, and getting to choose what comes next. My goal is for you to leave our work together feeling more yourself than when we started.

I primarily work with adults navigating anxiety, neurodivergence, grief, trauma, complex family dynamics, and men's issues. My approach is integrative, using Gestalt and psychodynamic foundations with an Internal Family Systems parts-work informed framework. I offer sessions in-person and virtually.

If you've been feeling stuck, lost, or exhausted in going through the motions, let's talk.

  • I view therapy as a safe and intentional space to discover who you truly are, beneath the roles, expectations, and survival strategies you’ve had to carry. So often, we move through life disconnected from parts of ourselves we’ve silenced, hidden, or forgotten. In therapy, we begin to gently uncover those parts with compassion and curiosity, not to fix or judge them, but to understand the stories they carry. I believe healing happens when we feel seen, not just by others, but by ourselves. My hope is to offer a space where you can show up fully, explore freely, and begin to trust that every part of you is worthy of care and connection.

  • My approach is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to what you bring to the room. I work to create a space that is exploratory where we can go where the work takes us. IFS parts work is at the core of much of what I do, but I take care to keep the work grounded and accessible because therapy shouldn't feel abstract or out of reach.
